The annual meeting of IDEA Italian Association of Exhibition Designers was carried out on Monday 8th March at the Milan head office, in the post-industrial Eastend Studios spaces. During the meeting the association offices were renewed.
The assembly unanimously restored confidence in the President Mario Mastropietro and in the outgoing Board, with the entrance of Alessandro Colombo from Studio Cerri Associati. The Board of Directors is now composed by Alessandro Colombo, Paolo Fiori, Carlo Malerba, Dario Milana, as Vice-President and Treasurer, Franco Origoni and Roberto Priori. The Assembly also appointed the Board of Arbitrators, composed by: Paolo Baldessari, Angelo Jelmini and Anna Olewska. President Mastropietro recalled the successful initiatives of the year 2009, to name a few:the meeting “Exhibition Design: an essential tool for corporate communication”; “The effective setting-out of exhibition booths, sales points and events”, organized in cooperation with Assolombarda and addressed to member companies; the cooperation for the initiative Milano Design-in-the-City and the design for the fitting-out of Edward Hopper’s show at Fondazione Roma Museo (16th February -13th June 2010) by means of a team of Master’s students and members designers of IDEA.
Among the new projects for 2010, IDEA has taken on a new challenge. During Milan’s Salone del Mobile, in partnership with DesignPartners, a focus on the sale point will be created, that is a meeting point between consumers and companies. A starting point to study the new retail trends.
