Also this year at the Salone del Mobile, Milan is full of events, many designed by members of IDEA, the Italian Association of Exhibition Designers, the only association that represents exhibition designers in Italy. Here are some upcoming events at Fuorisalone:
"The Past Renewed 1785-2010" 10 artists and designers interpret the ancient block printing of Zucchi Collection
Zucchi Collection Museum organizes an exhibition, arranged on two levels by Angelo Jelmini, which brings together 2 centuries of culture and beauty, 0 impact, 10 artists and designers to renew, with courage and wit, energy from the old blocks printing fabric, revitalizing the past, recalling and reinventing it through their original works. The exhibition, in collaboration by IDEA, is Via Ugo Foscolo 4, April 14 to 19.
“Librerie Coop meets Design”
The project of Paolo Lucchetta for Librerie.Coop tells the story of the encounter between the world of books with Milan, and the multitude of designer enthusiasts who populate the city during the show. Articulated around a large table and books, the exhibition is conceived as a series of spaces rather than as a series of objects, trying to offer the visitor experience both physical and conceptual. The idea is to offer a place of books, selected and presented by young Booksellers and narrated by author and reader (Designers) in a full calendar of events. IDEA will present a library dedicated to the themes and characters in Exhibition Design Librerie.Coop. The space is located in Zone Romana, Via Botta 8, April 14 to 19.
