Alessandro Colombo, after classical and musical studies, graduates at Milan Polytechnics with Prof. Marco Zanuso with whom he cooperates at the International Lab of Naples Underground. In 1989 the association with Pierluigi Cerri starts.
In 1991 he wins the Major of Osaka City Prize organized by Japan Design Foundation of Osaka with the project: “Hearth: directions” thereafter exhibited in the main centres of design of the world.
In 1995 he becomes partner of Gregotti Associates International. Together with Bruno Morassutti he participates to international competitions of architecture. Together with Pierluigi Cerri and Risco, he cures the project for public spaces and for temporary structures of Expo ’98 in Lisbon. In 1999 he is lecturer for Stockholm Nobel Foundation.
