Born on the 1st July 1947, he graduated in Architecture in 1973 at the Architecture Faculty of Florence University with a thesis dealing with the realization of a port call area for goods in San Giorgio a Colonica with Prof. Pierluigi Spadolini. In the autumnal session of the same year he got the examination for the professional exercise.
He is member of the scientific committee of the magazine Exporre.
He is promoting member of IDEA, the Italian Association of Exhibition Designers.
He is qualified to emit the certifications previewed by Italian law 818/84 for prevention of fires and cover the roles previewed by Italian law 464/96 for security.
In 1975 he founded his own studio working in the field of architecture, town – planning, exhibit design both in Italy and abroad.
Among the best works in the field of architecture, we mention:
1975 – 1977: Jedda – Saudi Arabia, together with Arch. Stefano Tori and Arch. Mallory R. Warner, architect Fiori designed a shopping centre for Himali Est in Jedda and as resident architect he followed several feasibility studies for industrial and tourist settlements.
1980 – 1982: Maiduguri – Nigeria, in cooperation with Arch. G. Campani, he won the competition for the design of the new University Campus named “Borno State Advanced Teacher’s College” for C.R.G. Nigeria Ltd.
1992 – 1997: Fucecchio – Florence, together with Prof. Alberto Pedrolli he cured the development of the new general town – planning scheme, the Historical Centre, the Traffic, the House planning scheme and others specially for Popular and Economic Building Industry.
1999 – 2001: St. Spirit and St. Maria Novella Museums – Florence, executive design and working manager to conform and overcome the architectonic barriers in the museums and in other different churches such as St. Croce, St. Maria Novella, St. Annunziata.
2000 - 2007: Florence, design and working manager of some restoration interventions in buildings notified according to the past law 1089/39 both residential and executive.
2002 – 2004: National Central Library – Florence, design and working manager of the restoration of the new Library wing.
As for exhibition design works are concerned we mention:
1978 – 2000: Strozzi Palace – Florence, he designed and managed the fitting of several exhibitions among which there are those of the painters “W. Kandinsky”, “Armando Testa”, “Degas Sculptor”, “Aligi Sassu”, and those dealing with themes “Ancient Icons from Russian Museums”, “The ‘600 in Florence”.
1981: The Cooper Union – New York, design and realization of the fitting, of an exhibition of original photos of Alinari family and, in the rooms of the Italian Institute of Culture, an exhibition of ancient “Fiorini Fiorentini” coined between 1300 and 1700.
1986: Strozzi Palace – Florence, Forti Palace – Verona, Capitoline Museums – Rome, project and working management for the exhibition fitting “Degas Sculptor”.
1987: Museum of Arts and Museum of Fine Arts – Hamburg, Art gallery – Malmo, project and working management for the fitting of exhibitions “The ‘600 in Florence”, “Etruscans from Tuscany”.
1997: Capitoline Museums – Rome, project and working management for the fitting of the exhibition “Henry Matisse and Orient”.
2003: Oberdan Space – Milan, project and working management for the fitting of the exhibition “Liberty in Milan”.
