Paolo Plotini was born in Padova in 1942 and now lives in Milan.
From 1967 he guides the familiar company Plotini Allestimenti Srl founded in 1937 active in exhibition fittings. In the years he has contributed to the growth of the company in the direction of the furnishing field in particular of museums, shops, hotels and offices.
Plotini has worked in France, Germany, Iran, Israel, USA and with some of the most important Italian designers (Franco Albini, Bob Noorda, Pierluigi Cerri, Vittorio Gregotti, Italo Lupi). He has designed the fitting modular system Crossmetal, actually used by several companies of the sector in Italy and in other European countries.
He has also designed many stands, shops and showrooms. He has been teacher at the Superior Institute of Architecture and Design in Milan; he teaches “Fittings techniques” in courses organized by Fondazione Fiera Milano. He has been promoting member of ASAL (the Italian Union Association of Fitting Companies); he is member of Federlegno Arredo board; member of IDEA, the Italian Association of Exhibition Designers.
